4/16 - Josh and his family joined us at the stake play - Sherrie did the costumes and staging - and then stayed overnight to celebrate Zullly's birthday on Saturday. Romy rode home with Grandma Hunter and me on Friday night and as we opened the front door we noticed a lizard up in the corner. We have seen some big ones around lately (well, 6-10 inches long).
Lots of flowers in the back yard this year as you can tell from the pictures.
Sherrie made little red "Poodle skirts" for Romy and Sophia for a school dress up day 9 (of course, she had to make another one for Marisol later.)
4/24 - Rotary Rebuild Together (used to be called Christmas in April). Painting a house down near Charleston and 16th Street.
4/28 - We have had the windiest spring I can remember. The pool has been filled with flower petals.
5/7 - Sherrie and I attended Marlene Skouson's funeral. She worked in the Bishop's Storehouse almost the entire time we worked in the HSR. She was a prolific quilter and would bring quilt tops over just about every day. She develped brain cancer about 15 months ago. All the quilts in the chapel are quilts that she did for family, etc.
5-7 - Rachel and Dashiell flew in this afternoon for the weekend. We had a blast. Of couse, we had to start at Cafe Rio for dinner. Satuday we went to Nancy's Quilt shop to pick out material for a quilt that Rachel wanted to make. They spent the rest of the day putting it together. Josh and his family came over and we went to Cafe Rio for lunch (minus Josh who was at his karate class). We spent the rest of the day just hanging out in the backyard and in the jacuzzi.
5-8 - Sherrie and I headed off early to church since the choir was singing. We barbecued a tri-tip and had a relaxing dinner and afternoon until we had to leave to get Rachel to the airport for her 5:30 flight.
The last four pictures...one of the kids, Sophia we think, made a "When you chance to meet a frown..." illustration on a paper plate (we found it when we returned from the airport).. The second to the last picture is one that Mr. Will took and the last is an iPhone picture as Rachel and Dashiell were leaving.
