Scott Thomas graduated from Touro University with his medical degree and is headed to California for his residency. Graduation ceremonies were held at the Paris Hotel and Casino and then it was off to Emily and Brad's for dinner. Thanks so much Emily and Brad for your hospitality and congratulations to Scott!
Romy's piano recital was on May 18th in the auditorium at the Whitney Library on East Tropicana. Marisol was in rare form during the recital so we spent most of the time in the library. Afterwords we headed to Macaroni Grill to celebrate Josh's birthday.
May 27 - Rachel's quilt is finished and Sherrie is showing the details.
Rebecca arrived on May 25th from New York to spend a couple of weeks. On Friday, Sophia called and wanted to come and spend the weekend so on Saturday morning she and Romy headed to Utah with Rebecca, Sherrie, Grandma Hunter, and me. Marisol knew something was up and had her nose out of joint. Josh had to take here out to swing so we could sneak out of the house.
Saturday night was Mary Alice's high school reunion, I'm not sure which year. There are still about 17 classmates left and 10 were in attendance. She will be 89 this next October 20th. She is still doing fairly well and will be spending the next 10 days at home by herself in Toquerville. She probably won't be able to stay on her own for much longer. Rebecca and Sherrie went to the reunion as Rebecca was filming it. Rebecca is going to edit the footage and I'll put it up on the website if its ok with her. While they were at the reunion, the girls and I went over to Aunt Bev's and visited with her and Edith for a bit. Then we headed to the park to play til the reunion was over. We stopped by the Toquerville cemetery for a few minutes on the way home.
After church on Sunday we headed to Cedar City to visit Mom and enjoyed a great dinner at Steve and Kris'.
Monday was breakfast at JB's (unsatisfacory experience with a pushy waitress and underdone pancakes) and another visit to the cemetery.
We stopped in St. George on the way home to visit Dad's grave and then headed to Vegas. As soon as we arrived, we were off again to the movies. Sherrie and I took the 3 girls to Shrek Ever After and Josh and Zully went to Robin Hood and then afterwards we headed to dinner at Jason's Deli.
A long weekend.
