4TH OF JULY WEEKEND WITH FAMILYJuly 2-6-2010 |
I've been having tons of trouble with Dreamweaver's web photo album and it has taken me three days to get this far. For some reason it won't sort the pictures in order. I finally was able to get it in order with the exception of the first three pictures which should actually be the last three pictures. Sigh.
First of all you have to know that a lot of the pictures taken this weekend were taken by Marisol and Sadie. Yes, you heard it right. They each took about 500 pictures each. It took me forever to clear off all the pictures of people's knees, the ceiling, the walls, the television, the floor, Sadie's tonsils, etc. I still didn't get them all and since I'm not going to take the time to choose which of the rest to post, I am just posting them all.
Not to mention the fact that my camera is "giving up the ghost". Yes it is just about shot. You will notice that most of the pictures look like there is too much exposure. So, it is time for a new camera. YAHOO!
Rebecca arrived late Thursday night from New York.
On Friday I was out doing some site inspections and saw some cool cars. I think they wanted $70,000 for the red 58 Chevy. Rachel, Ryan and Dashiell arrived in the afternoon and later we went to Cafe Rio for dinner.
Jennie, Eric, Tyler, Cora, and Sadie arrived Saturday about noon. We spent the rest of the day eating, swimming, celebrating Sherrie's XXth birthday, playing cards, playing with the kids, and just plain enjoying having everyone together at the same time for the first time.
Sunday was a pretty quiet day. Josh and his family and Cora went to church in their old ward. They still haven't been released from their callings. The rest of the day was games, coloring Sherrie's "wallpaper", and enjoying Sherrie's 4th of July program. The highlight, of course, was taking pictures in the late afternoon. Tennille took pictures with her (or maybe it was Mr. Will's) camera. I'll post them in another post. Josh had some fireworks so after dark we had a fun time in the street. Then it was time for more games.
Monday was more fun pool and family time until Rachel, Ryan, and Dashiell had to head to the airport to return to San Jose. Later Tyler wanted to go to the "Pinball Hall of Fame" so off we went to see the flashing lights, etc. Eric found a machine identical to one that his grandfather used to have. Hence the picture with Eric and a big smile! Then it was home for more swimming and games.
Alas, Tuesday arrived and Jennie, Eric, Tyler, Cora and Sadie had to head home. I had to go to work. Then later that night Rebecca and Tennille headed to New York to do a movie.
We're alone again...wait, no we aren't. Josh, Zully, Romy, Sophia, Marisol, (?), and Mr. Will are still here. And Grandma Hunter will be back next week.
Where did everybody sleep? I don't really know. Somehow we all fit and everyone was comfortable I hope. Jennie and Eric had the art room. Josh and Zully in the big bedroom. Rachel and Ryan in the northwest bedroom. Rebecca and Tennille in the other bedroom. Kids were everywhere. And Mr. Will, bless his soul, slept on the floor even though there were still couches available.
I couldn't have enjoyed the weekend more.
